Peperomia argyreia - Watermelon Peperomia
One glance at the foliage of Peperomia argyreia and you'll know exactly why it's nicknamed the Watermelon Peperomia. The silvery and dark green stripes on the leaves bear striking similarity to a watermelon rind, and they grow from deep red stems - just like the flesh of the fruit! Native to South America, Peperomia argyreia is a low-growing plant - this compact size makes it ideal as a houseplant. With its peltate leaves (stem attached in the center), its compact size and whimsical leaf patterns, the Watermelon Peperomia makes a big impact without taking up too much space.
Watermelon Peperomia is easy to care for. Simply place in bright indirect light, and take care not to over-water. Includes detailed care instructions.
Ships in a 4" plastic nursery pot. Overall height and width of plants is 6-8", and each plant has 8-10 leaves. Mature leaves measure 3-4".
