Locally Grown Cocktails
Learn how to infuse your home bar with locally grown and foraged ingredients! One part booze history, one part spirits tasting, one-part cocktail technique, this hands-on class includes a sampling of house made infusions as well as locally made liquors that use PNW ingredients.
After our tasting each student will make their own Portland-style shrub, infused with a variety of seasonal herbs and delicious Hood River strawberries. Shrubs, also known as drinking vinegars, are a delicious and versatile vinegar-based syrups, perfect for mixing in cocktails or sipped with a bit of soda water. Each student will leave the class with their own 16-ounce jar of shrub, and with recipes and resources for crafting cocktails and making more at home.
