Monstera Obliqua - Swiss Cheese Plant
Monstera obliqua is an easy-to-grow houseplant with show-stopper foliage. Each bright green leaf is full of natural oval-shaped holes that earn the plant its nickname, "Swiss Cheese Plant." Botanists believe that the holes in its leaves help the plant to stand up to high winds and allow light to pass through to lower parts of the plant in its natural environment. Kept as a houseplant, Monstera obliqua will happily climb up a trellis or vine down the sides of its pot. Similar in growth habit to its botanical cousin, the philodendron, Swiss Cheese Plant's vines can eventually grow quite long.
Monstera obliqua makes a perfect houseplant for both beginners and experts, since it's easy to care for and exotic in appearance. Place it where the plant will receive medium-bright indirect, shield from direct sun and water regularly, and the Swiss Cheese Plant will reward you by rapidly growing its beautiful foliage.
Ships in a 6" plastic nursery pot with clip-on hanger. Leaves measure approx. 4" long and 2" wide. Each specimen has multiple stems, approximately 8-12" in length. Natural variation in size and appearance may occur.
